Applying Seed-Based Approaches to Ecological Restoration

In this webinar, we present the rationale and successive steps that are required for the efficient delivery and use of seeds in ecological restoration. Case studies from prairie ecosystems in North America and the hot deserts of north-western Australia illustrate the process. Our aim is that the information from these experiences will assist other practitioners in improving their seed-based restoration outcomes by adopting and implementing these globally-relevant approaches and techniques. Presented by: Stephanie Frischie Early Stage Researcher; Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, Semillas Silvestres, S.L., Córdoba, Córdoba, Spain; University of Pavia, Pavia, Lombardy, Italy - Chris Helzer Director of Science, Nebraska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, Aurora, Nebraska, USA - Todd Erickson Project Manager / Research Scientist - Restoration Seed Bank Initiative, School of Biological Sciences, University of Western Australia, Crawley, Western Australia, Australia; Kings Park Botanic Garden, Kings Park, Western Australia, Australia
