STANDARDS FOR NATIVE SEEDS IN ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION

The International Standards for Native Seeds in Ecological Restoration were published in 2020 as a special issue of the Journal “Restoration Ecology”. The standards are composed of a series of documents, each providing an in-depth analysis of each step of the Native Seed Supply chain.

In 2022 and 2023, Stephanie Frischie, a long-term board member of INSR, coordinated the translation effort in Spanish and Portuguese of two of the documents. INSR is progressing with the further translation of other documents and in other languages to make the content of the standards more accessible to native seed suppliers and users worldwide.
