Madrid hosts the 64th Annual Symposium of International Association for Vegetation Science on June 27th – July 1st, 2022

On behalf of the IAVS Madrid 2022 Organizing Committee we would like to encourage you to participate in this meeting of our Association.

Once again, we are facing uncertainty around travel and large gatherings, due to the latest developments around COVID-19.

We have been considering how to proceed, and listening to your wants, needs and worries. We got a lot of requests to keep IAVS 2022 a face-to-face meeting, and we did our utmost to respect your wishes.

We want to make the Annual Symposium as safe as possible. Vaccination rates in Spain are high, and Spain is welcoming of large international conferences. These factors have played a part in our decision.

We are all excited to have the opportunity to travel to an international in-person event again, and we look forward to seeing most of you in Madrid.

However, the new Hybrid format of IAVS2022 considers the dynamic global situation and provides a convenient option of participating online as well, for those who might not be able to take the trip. No matter which option you choose, get ready for an immersive congress experience with a high scientific impact in the vegetation science community.
