On Wednesday, the symposium will be preceded by an optional hands-on training workshop that will teach participants how to apply the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria to prepare high quality, scientifically based extinction risk assessments to facilitate prioritization of threatened species for informed conservation action. The workshop is sponsored by The Morton Arboretum.
